Were off to Afghanistan to document and record Afghani musicians. This music will then be integrated into original collaborations with established Western artists to create a music CD. Proceeds from both the CD and companion documentary film will be used to build both a primary health care clinic and an autonomous birthing clinic run by women and adhering to Sharia law. The clinics will be in the Badhakshan which has the highest maternal mortality rate in the world.

The Young Adult Internship Program

In 2005 New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg along with DYCD (Department of Youth and community development) teamed up to create the YAIP (Young Adult Internship Program). YAIP is short term development program specifically designed to work with “at risk” youth in preparing them for their perspective vocations. YAIP; currently in its fifth cycle, its part of Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s “Center for Economic Opportunity.” FM World Charities is currently in its second cycle with the YAIP program. The interns work closely with Eric Gast (founder and CEO of FM World Charities) on media approaches geared to spreading awareness on primary health issues. One of the benefits FM provides for the interns are personal mentoring sessions with Media personalities, industry Leaders, health professionals. The interns help FM reach the youth through utilizing online social networks, event planning, guerilla marketing, and social events. With health awareness as there motivation and a strong media backing FM is dedicated to bringing a positive change around the world starting at home.

Meet FM at the Boston Music Conference

Coldplay has generously donated a black and white autographed Fender Squire to FM World Charities and it's initiatives. FM World Charities screened over 6500 youths on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour of whom 700 needed follow up. FM is opening primary health care facilities in underserved communities throughout the world, and working with "at risk" young people in NYC. FM will be raffling off the guitar at the 2009 Boston Music Conference where Eric Gast ,founder of the charity, is on the panel for this wonderful event. At $3 a raffle ticket you can't go wrong with a chance to win  an autographed guitar from one of rocks most influential bands that has sold over 50 million records worldwide. This will help a wonderful musical healthcare charity as well.

Backstage with Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode VIP ticket silent auction winners David Winston and his wife Clara were very pleased when they arrived at MSG on Tuesday night, the seats were stage left and in section 1 – during the song “Reach Out and Touch Me” they almost could touch Dave. The couple was surprised by backstage passes after the show and continued their evening by hanging out with Peter (DM keyboards) and Christian (DM drums) and FM board member/ renowned artist Rachel Z and legendary drummer Omar Hakim. They were treated to FM’s special brand of VIP treatment that night and we want to thank DM for their generosity and continued support.

FM World Charities brings its Skin Cancer Initiative to the surf community. After a successful run of screening 6500 on the legendary Warped Tour , Surf Expo 09 invited FM to their big event in Orlando.
